Seattle band uniquely blending hard rock, funk, folk and punk.
Man On Its Back is a three-piece experimental rock band from Seattle Wa comprised of lyricist/multi-instrumentalist Joshua Eliott, multi-instrumentalist Marc Ellason and drummer Brian Davis. Joshua and Marc began making music together in rural Michigan where they grew up, performing in several bands throughout their youth. Their passion for music led them to Seattle in the early 2000’s, where they met Brian and formed The Motives of Erich Zann, later to become Man On Its Back.
They were very active in the Seattle music scene throughout the mid-2000s performing regularly at venues like The Central, The High Dive, El Corazon, The Rendevous, and many more. They were the last band to play Seattle’s legendary Rainbow Tavern before it’s closing.
MOIB uniquely blends various genres including hard rock, funk, folk and punk. Joshua writes and performs most of the vocals for the band with Marc frequently featured as singer and songwriter for the group. Marc and Joshua alternate between bass and guitar throughout their catalog. While Brian almost exclusively plays drums in the band, he is also a talented multi-instrumentalist.
